Jon Hobson – Principal Engineer

Jon graduated from the University of Manchester in 2006 with a Meng (Hons) in Aerospace Engineering. He has worked on a variety of major aircraft programs including the A400M, A350 & Eurofighter as a stress analyst. In that time, he has also worked in other sectors developing tooling and test rigs. Jon has a broad range of structural analysis experience, including fatigue & damage tolerance, FE modelling and static hand calculations. In addition to his structural analysis skill set, Jon has developed data processing techniques using VBA & Python; these are becoming increasingly important tools in engineering for managing large data and mathematical modelling.

Since joining FIRMA in 2018 Jon has played a key roll in many of our research and development projects and has proven to be a valuable member of the team.
