Lee Chapman – Commercial Director
Lee is a widely experienced Chartered Engineer who has worked across several industries including rail, aerospace & rotary drive technologies. He studied part time while working in the rail industry to attain a 1st Class BEng (Hons) Mechanical Degree in 2006.
Since then he has worked as a stress analyst at BAE Systems, a Senior Engineer at Unipart Rail (formerly British Rail) and a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer taking academic design concepts through to fully working industry demonstrator machines.
Lee specialises in product design and development given his extensive knowledge of the wide range of engineering disciplines required to take a product from concept through to market. These skills include conceptual design, design for manufacture, cost effective design, product testing & structural design.
He returned to the world of stress analysis in 2012 carrying out Fatigue and Crack Growth analysis of the Airbus A350 Landing Gear Support Structure before co-founding FIRMA Engineering in 2013.
